Delphi

Due to overwhelming customer demand, CodeGear will release in March a new version of the award-winning Delphi product line focused on native Windows development. With enhancements such as support for the Vista™ operating system, project build improvements, new database technologies, to name just a few, here is your chance for a first look at this much anticipated release.

CodeGear expects that this announcement will take many people by surprise. To be launched at this seminar will be a brand new product line, a Rapid Application Development (RAD) environment that will revolutionize PHP web development. With all the benefits you've come to expect from Delphi's RAD environment and component framework, this product will become the premier tool for developing PHP web applications. We will show you how simple it is to create powerful and robust PHP web applications with this new tool.

We will demonstrate how you can deliver a better product to your customer, with a more reliable and powerful installation.

CodeGear's recent release of InterBase 2007 introduced some fantastic new and important features to the product. In this session our InterBase expert will guide you through 2 of the new features, Incremental Back-up and Journaling. Additionally we will explore how the gap between InterBase and the open sourced version of InterBase (Firebird) has widened and what you need to know in order to be able to target both database platforms. InterBase 2007 provides the performance, reliability and edge that you expect from your database solution. This session will be repeated in the afternoon.

JBuilder 2007

2006 saw a number of large changes to the JBuilder product, not least of which was the move to the Eclipse platform. In this session we will demonstrate ProjectAssist™ / TeamInsight™ and other techniques you can use to control your development environment. In addition, we will show how to graphically create EJB 3.0 applications, as well as showing off the new code profiling and debugging capabilities of OptimizeIt™.

Wayne Ju is the Country Manager for CodeGear Greater China region. In this role , Wayne is responsible for the direction, strategy and business operation of CodeGear in the Greater China region.
Wayne has been with Borland/CodeGear for more than 4 years and has held the positions of Product Director, APAC and PSO Manager, Greater China. Previously Wayne spent ten years in the USA for a variety of companies including, Virtela Communications, JD Edwards, Objective Systems Integrators and Synergex among many others. Wayne has a broad background in software development and specific experience with IIOP/Corba, J2EE, C/C++ and VisiBroker.
 
Wayne graduated from University of Nevada, Reno with a master degree in Computer Science.

Gordon Li

As Product Evangelist for CodeGear, Greater China and with more than 18 years development experiences, Gordon Li is familiar with many languages, frameworks and architectures. Gordon joined Borland / CodeGear in 1999 and is responsible for technical evangelism and products in Greater China.

Gordon has written in excess of 10 books about Delphi and C++Builder, many of them are best sellers in the Greater China market. In addition, Gordon also has published more than 100 technical articles in publications such as Run!PC and CSDN, ensuring that Gordon is one of the most famous technical writers at Greater China. Gordon is also a regular speaker at technology seminars in Greater China.

As Product Evangelist for CodeGear, Greater China and with more than 10 years development experience in various projects using every version of Delphi except Delphi 2, Luke Fan has become a Delphi expert, especially in the two-layer and three-layer MIS development.
